Kristen Lowe Crowned Cattle Congress Queen

Lowe_KristenQueenKristen Lowe, a 2014 graduate of Union High School, was crowned the 2014 National Cattle Congress Queen at a competition held on June 22 at the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo. By virtue of winning the National Cattle Congress crown, Lowe is eligible to compete in the Iowa State Fair Queen Competition that will be held in Des Moines August 5-9.

National Cattle Congress Queen candidates were judged on the following characteristics: personality, attitude, appearance and awareness, leadership and citizenship (contribution to community), overall appearance, charm and poise. The contest was open to residents of Black Hawk, Benton, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Grundy and Tama counties.
Kristen is the daughter of Tom and Teresa Lowe of Dysart.
