State Representative Dean Fisher, of rural Garwin, and Vicki Harker, of Pleasant Hill, would like to announce their engagement. The couple is planning a private wedding on Saturday, July 9, 2016, with a public open house reception planned for that afternoon.
Vicki is the daughter of Harold and Beverly Harker, of Urbandale, and Dean is the son of Mary Etta and the late Gerald Fisher, of Garwin. The couple plan to make their home in rural Montour on the Fisher family Heritage Farm.
Allison Gill and Stuart Hemesath, of Coralville, were married January 9, 2016, on the beach at Riviera Maya, Mexico, in the presence of friends and family.
Parents of the couple are Clifton and Holly Gill of Arlington Heights, IL, Madonna and Rick Foulk of La Porte City and Stan and Angie Hemesath of Waterloo.
Nicole Valentino, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Attendants included Chelsea Parrott and Krista Carlson, friends of the bride and the groom’s sister, Holli Jo White of Slater, IA.
Drew Hemesath of Ankeny, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Tom Ocheltree of Chicago, Brock Reiter of Indianapolis, friends of the groom and Dylan White, brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride is a 2009 University of Iowa graduate and currently attending the University of Iowa School of Social Work. The groom is also a 2009 University of Iowa graduate and is currently completing a MBA program through the university. He is employed at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, TX.
Paige Neil and Tucker Johnson were married September 26, 2015, in Cedar Falls. Parents of the couple are Shane and Carrie Neil of La Porte City, Kreg and April Johnson of Cedar Falls, and Monique Johnson and Dan Gebhardt of Hudson. Grandparents of the bride are Michael and Carolyn Schmitz and David and Violet Neil, all of La Porte City. Grandparents of the groom are Paul and Jo Ann Johnson and Fran Pashby, all of Cedar Falls.
Kegan Bakken performed the 5:00 ceremony at the Rotary Reserve, where the reception was also held.
Best man was Andrew Nauholz of Cedar Falls.Groomsmen were Vincent Neil, brother of the bride of La Porte City, Zach Hermansen, Trevor Johnson, brother of the groom, Kaya Winsor, and Nick Patten, all of Cedar Falls. Ring security was Karsen Neil, nephew of the bride of La Porte City.
Maid of honor was Bryanna McFarland of La Porte City. Bridesmaids were Chelsey Olsen of Hampton, Ashley Ludemann, cousin of the bride of Cedar Falls, Kayla Cox of Newton, Rachel Emerson of Waterloo. The flower girl was Layla Olsen of Hampton.
Hosts and hostesses were Mike and Cara Ludemann of Nashua and Patrick and Tracy McFarland of La Porte City.
The bride earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and is a zoo keeper at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. The groom is employed at ESPN, also in Omaha. After honeymooning in Colorado they returned to home in Omaha.
Sara Feuerbach and Ryan Kibsgaard were married June 13, 2015, in Waterloo.
Parents of the couple are Mark and Carolyn Feuerbach of Dysart and Randy and Darla Kibsgaard of Clear Lake.
Deacon Al Weber performed the ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo, followed by a reception at the Supervisors Club.
Matron of honor was Beth Connolly of Cedar Falls. Bridesmaieds were Jaime Zeigler of Des Moines, Megan Dunlap of Decorah, Bailey Kibsgaard of Clear Lake, sister of the groom and Jenna Wilson of Waterloo, sister of the groom.
Flower girl was Ellie Howe of Des Moines, cousin of the bride.
Personal attendants were Kari Murphy of North Liberty, Kaycie Elenz of Wheaton, IL and Kelsie Graham of Waterloo.
Best Man was Chase Burtness of Crystal Lake and groomsmen were Colin Peterson of Cedar Rapids, Joe McGrath of Clear Lake, Matt Feuerbach of La Porte City, brother of the bride and Troy Wilson, brother-in-law of the groom.
Seating guests were Clint Hain of Okaboji and Mitch Hain of Evansdale, cousins of the groom, and Carter and Gavin Gallagher of Waterloo, cousins of the bride.
A graduate of Union High School and Allen College, the bride works as an RN at Covenant Medical Center. The groom is a graduate of Clear Lake High School and UNI, working as a Marketing Manager at Driving Loyalty.
After a honeymoon in Lake Tahoe, the couple reside in Cedar Falls.
Kearstyn Patton and Brett Heaford were married June 12, 2015, at Terry Trueblood Recreation Center in Iowa City. Parents of the couple are Doug and Lori Patton of Germantown Hills, Illinois and Bill and Katie Heaford of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, formerly of Dysart.
The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Andrew Heaford, cousin of the groom. Maid of Honor was Dakota Patton, sister of the bride with bridesmaids Makenzie Blanks, Shelly Lacy, Katie Miller, Mallory Morse, Ellen Olson, Amy Pollard, and Caitlin Sperry, friends of the couple.
The Best Man was Scott Brown, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Ian Flores, Tom Ocheltree, Larry Kubitz, Aarik Dahlen, Jimmy Montchal, Erik Robinson, friends of the couple and Chase Patton, brother of the bride.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Kinzlee and Beckett Happel, niece and nephew of the groom.
Alex Mether, Dan Stein, and Tyler Wicks, friends of the couple served as ushers.
The bride and groom attended the University of Iowa, and now reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.
