Mark and Penny Wilson of La Porte City will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and trip.
Mark Wilson and Penny Dunkelberger were married on September 30, 1989, at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City.
Mark is employed at Viking Pump and Penny works at Covenant Medical Center.
They have one son, Mitchell.
Rocky Brown and Mary Miller were married August 24, 1974, at La Porte City St. Paul United Methodist Church. Their family includes Amanda and Ryan Hollenbeck and granddaughter Adalyn of Cedar Rapids, and Mackenzie Brown and Micah Monroe of Des Moines.
Larry and Nancy Albertsen of Mt. Auburn are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.
Larry Albertsen and Nacy Palmer were married July 28, 1979 at the American Lutheran Church in La Porte City.
Larry is an HVAC installer at Young Plumbing & Heating and Nancy is a clerk at the Dysart Post Office. Their family includes Lisa and Bart Mehlert of La Porte City, Matt and Whitney Albertsen of Dysart and Katelyn Albertsen and Cory Welper of Vinton, and four grandchildren, Lincoln, Ava, Coy and Emrey.
Nick Miller and Christine Palmer were married July 27, 1974, at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church.
Nick is a retired electrician from John Deere and Christine is a paraeducator at Union High School in La Porte City.
Their family includes Ross and Tara Miller and granddaughters Aubrey and Kinsley of Hudson, and Jeff and Carmen Lappe of Waterloo.
On July 18, the La Porte City Golf Club will be the location for a special celebration for Don and JoAnne Heckroth and their extended family. An Open House will be held in honor of the couple’s 50th anniversary, Don’s 80th birthday and JoAnne’s 70th birthday.
Serving as hosts for the event are the couple’s children, Steve (Debbie) Wilson and Stephanie Heckroth, along with their grandchildren, Chris of Evansdale and friend Randi, David, an F-15 Crew Chief in the U.S. Air Force, of Mt. Home, Idaho and Brittany of Shellsburg.
The couple requests no gifts, please. The celebration will begin at 7 PM.
